Aceh Province's Foreign Trade Balance Performance in January 2024 Surplus of 26.46 million USD

"With the value of exports greater than the value of imports, the foreign trade balance of Aceh Province in January 2024 experienced a surplus of 26.46 million USD," said the Head of the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) of Aceh Province, Ahmadriswan Nasution, in the release of the Official Statistical Report (BRS) of Export and Import Developments in January 2024 held on Thursday, February 15, 2024, at the Teuku Umar Room of BPS Aceh Province.

In detail, Ahmadriswan said that the value of exports of goods from Aceh Province in January 2024 amounted to 33.89 million USD, while the value of imports into Aceh Province amounted to 7.43 million USD. The largest January 2024 exports were directed to India with the main commodity in the form of coal followed by the United States for coffee commodities and Japan for processed fish commodities. For imports, the dominance comes from the United States with butane and propane gas commodities followed by Thailand with commodities in the form of Gypsum, Anhydrite.
