Coordination Meeting of BPS Social Statistics Teams in Aceh

BPS Aceh Province held a Coordination Meeting (Rakor) of BPS Social Statistics Teams in Districts/Cities throughout Aceh on 11-12 June 2024 at the Graha Meeting Room, Lhokseumawe City. The event was opened by the Head of the BPS Social Statistics Team in Aceh Province, Abd. Hakim. Also present were the Head of BPS Lhokseumawe City, Oriza Santifa as the host, and the Head of BPS North Aceh Regency, Andi Hardiyanto.

Abd. Hakim in his remarks hoped that the participants could evaluate the results of the Village Potential Data Collection (Podes) and understand the various indicators produced by social statistics activities.

The speakers in the Rakor were the Activity Managers (PJK) from the BPS Social Statistics Team in Aceh Province: Akhmad Sugito for Podes, Juliana for the National Labor Force Survey (Sakernas), and Zelvia Yunalda for the National Socio-Economic Survey (Susenas) and Quarterly Household Economic Survey (Seruti).

For two days, the Coordination Meeting agenda discussed the evaluation of the implementation and results of social statistics activities covering Podes, Sakernas, Susenas, and Seruti. In addition, strategies and tips for facing future challenges were also shared. Given that social statistics activities are often directly related to household respondents, maintaining good relations with respondents is a primary concern.

This Coordination Meeting event was also a moment to strengthen coordination and togetherness between participants. They shared stories and experiences of implementing Podes to become shared learning.
