Diskominsa Aceh Holds Aceh Government EPSS Assessment Evaluation in 2024

Monday, 21 October 2024 - The Aceh Communication, Informatics and Encryption Service (Diskominsa) held an Evaluation of the Aceh Government's 2024 EPSS Assessment (Sectoral Statistical Development Evaluation) in the UPTD Statistics Meeting Room, Banda Aceh. This event aims to assess the achievements and implementation of sectoral statistical development carried out by all OPDs in Aceh Province, in order to improve the quality of data and information management needed in the policy making process.

Wahyu Agung Sutikno, Intermediate Expert Statistician and Head of the BPS Aceh Sectoral Statistics Team, delivered a presentation regarding the calculation of the Statistical Development Index (IPS) in Aceh Province. He also emphasized BPS Aceh's commitment as a Data Supervisor in the Aceh One Data Forum, which plays an important role in synergizing and coordinating the quality of sectoral data from all OPDs. Wahyu said that strengthening sectoral statistics is an important step to ensure the availability of accurate and quality data.

The importance of EPSS in supporting evidence-based policy (data-based policy making) was also a main highlight at the event. It is hoped that EPSS can produce better data so that it can have a real impact on development policy in Aceh. This evaluation is an important basis for the government to develop development strategies that are more measurable, effective and in line with community needs.
