Sectoral Statistics Development and Socialization of EPSS 2024

In preparation for the implementation of the Evaluation of the Implementation of Sectoral Statistics (EPSS) which will begin in April 2024, BPS Aceh held a Sectoral Statistics Development which focused on the socialization of EPSS.

The activity was held for two days on Wednesday-Thursday, February 28-29, 2024. The resource persons presented were not only from the BPS Aceh Sectoral Statistics Development Team but also from the Aceh Communication, Informatics and Standardization Office (Diskominsa). This socialization was intensified for Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD) whose sectoral statistical activities are the target of the EPSS locus, namely the Bureau of Development Administration (Adpem) of the Aceh Regional Secretariat and the Aceh Registration and Population Office (DRKA).

The Head of BPS Aceh, Ahmadriswan Nasution, in his briefing emphasized that this socialization is part of the effort to raise awareness of the importance of implementing sectoral statistics that meet the applicable standards, principles, and rules. He is optimistic that the Statistical Development Index (IPS) value as a result of EPSS in Aceh can increase if this awareness grows. He also shared the keys to EPSS success, including compliance with the implementation schedule, preparation and completion of adequate supporting evidence, and continuous monitoring of progress.
