Workshop on Indicative Targets for Food Crops in 2025

Wednesday, 16 October 2024 - Head of BPS Aceh, Ahmadriswan Nasution, attended the Opening of the 2025 Food Crop Indicative Targets Workshop organized by the Aceh Province Agriculture and Plantation Service. This event was attended by various stakeholders from the agricultural sector with the aim of discussing land development targets and increasing food production in Aceh in facing food security challenges in the coming year.

During the event, the Head of BPS Aceh together with the Head of the Aceh Agriculture and Plantation Service, Cut Huzaimah, gave awards to the agriculture, plantation and livestock services that had achieved extraordinary performance. This award is given to agencies that are able to realize additional rice field planting areas exceeding the target and succeed in increasing the raw area of rice fields in their areas, as an effort to support regional food security programs.

Cut Huzaimah in his speech emphasized the importance of collaboration between the central, regional and farmer governments to achieve agricultural sector development targets. He also appreciated the role of BPS in providing accurate data that can help formulate strategic policies to strengthen food security in Aceh.
