Abstract

The labor force in the province of Aceh in August 2011 reached 2,001 million, reduced by about 68 thousand people compared to the total labor force in February 2011 amounted to 2.069 million people, or an increase of about 62 thousand people compared to August 2010 amounted to 1.939 million people.
The working population in the province of Aceh in August 2011 reached 1,852 million, reduced by about 46 thousand people compared to the situation in February 2011 amounted to 1.898 million people, or an increase of about 76 thousand people when compared to August 2010 amounted to 1.776 million people.
The number of unemployed in August 2011 has decreased by about 22 thousand people compared to the situation in February 2011 that of 171 thousand people in February 2011 to 149 thousand in August 2011, and also decreased by 13 thousand persons compared to August 2010 amounted to 162 thousand people.
Unemployment Rate (TPT) in the province of Aceh in August 2011 reached 7.43 percent, 0.84 percent lower than TPT in February 2011 was 8.27 percent, and 0.94 percent lower than the textile August 2010 amounted to 8, 37 percent.
The employment situation in the month of August 2011 was marked by the increasing number of workers in some sectors. Sectors that experienced the highest increase in the number compared to August 2010 was the sector agriculture, horticulture, forestry, hunting, and fishing. While the sector has decreased the amount of the highest labor is sector Trade, Restaurants and Accommodation Services.
In terms of gender, women TPT in August 2011 reached 8.50 percent 1.70 percent higher than the TTP men by 6.80 percent.
