Abstract

Consumer perceptions of economic conditions in the second quarter of 2012 in the province of Aceh increased and more optimistic shown with ITK at 106.73
Perception of increased economic conditions is driven by factors of increasing household income (104.68), slightly higher than the first quarter (103.22). A further factor is the value of the index factor inflation rate in April-June 2012 amounted to 113.10. This illustrates that the perception of consumers stated that there was inflation. However, rising inflation factor is not to reduce the level of consumption. In contrast, the public perception showed an increase in both the rate of consumption of food and non-food commodities (103.85).
Perception estimate of the economic conditions of consumers in the province of Aceh in the coming quarter (third quarter 2012) states that the more optimistic condition that is equal to 111.20. Economic conditions konsumenpada third quarter also means better compared to the second quarter 2012, which had reached a value of 106.73 ITK. Likewise, when compared on an annual basis to estimate the third quarter of 2011 reached 108.13. Estimated economic condition of consumers in the third quarter of 2012 driven by an increase in household income estimates (113.68). This makes the increase in the household plans to buy durable goods (106.53).
In a comparison between regions, perceptions of economic conditions in the second quarter is increased both in Sumatra regional and national levels. However, the value ITK Aceh province and most of the provinces in Sumatra in the second quarter of 2012 remained below the average value of the national ITK (108.77). Instead, the four provinces with the second quarter of 2012 ITK highest in Sumatra that NAD, West Sumatra and Riau. Likewise, with an estimated economic condition of consumers in the third quarter of 2012 increased nationally (110.96). However, most of the provinces in Sumatra (six provinces) is still below the national estimate of consumer perception. Only the province of Aceh along with Bangka Belitung, West Sumatra and Riau reached ITK estimates the third quarter of 2012 above the national average.
