Human Development Index of Aceh Province 2016

The Human Development Index is one of the benchmarks of overall development performance. The index is built on a basic three-dimensional approach, namely longevity and health, knowledge, and decent living. Indicators that represent these three dimensions are summarized in a single value, namely the number of Human Development Index (HDI). The presentation of HDI figures is done from national, provincial and district / city level. The presentation of HDI by region allows each province and regency / municipality to know the map of human development in terms of achievement, position, and disparity between regions. So it is expected that each region can be encouraged to try to improve the performance of development by increasing the basic capacity of the population and human development. Aceh HDI figures from 2010 to 2016 show a significant increase. Nevertheless, these achievements and progress still require serious attention due to the still high disparity in achieving development among districts / cities.
