BPS Aceh Holds Socialization on Aceh Qanun on Baitul Mal

Banda Aceh, September 9, 2026 – BPS-Statistics Aceh Province held a socialization session on Aceh Qanun Number 3 of 2021 concerning Amendments to Aceh Qanun Number 10 of 2018 on Baitul Mal. The event featured the Head of Baitul Mal of Banda Aceh Municipality, Dr. Tgk. M. Yusuf Al-Qardhawy, S.H., M.H., as the speaker and was attended by all employees of BPS-Statistics Aceh Province.

During the session, the speaker provided an overview of regulations and the governance of zakat, infaq, and sadaqah, including the functions and authorities of Baitul Mal in managing zakat, infaq, waqf, and other religious assets.

As one of the Five Pillars of Islam, zakat plays an important role in strengthening social solidarity and supporting community welfare. Through this activity, employees are expected to gain a clearer understanding of zakat regulations and implementation, while strengthening awareness of fulfilling their obligation to pay zakat.
