BPS And HAKa Signed Cooperation in Geospasial Data Utilization

Monday, February 5, 2024, BPS Aceh Province signed a memorandum of understanding and cooperation agreement with the Aceh Forest, Nature and Environment Foundation (HAkA) at the Agro Room, 1st Floor of BPS Aceh Province.

The Head of BPS Aceh Province, Ahmadriswan Nasution, in his speech conveyed that the cooperation was a concrete manifestation for BPS Aceh Province to be part of the solution for Aceh, especially in the provision, utilization, and development of spatial data and statistical information in the field of Leuser Ecosystem Area (KEL) protection. KEL is a landscape that stores biodiversity and plays a strategic role in environmental conservation and the provision of natural resources that support the sustainability of human life.

Badrul Irfan, Secretary of HAkA, hopes that the BPS Aceh Province publication can display deforestation data that is useful for policy makers as well as to open insights and build public awareness to jointly protect forests, nature and the environment.
