Abstract

Up to Subrorund II (January-August) in 2011, has been realized rice harvested area of 261.8 thousand hectares, with an estimated total production of 1.24 million tonnes of paddy. Rice production in the period from January to August 2011 was increased by 16.97 percent compared to production in the same period in 2010.

From the Forecast Figures III, in 2011 is expected to be realized harvested area of 375.3 thousand hectares, with an estimated production of 1,750 million tonnes of rice paddy, which means an increase of 10.61 percent compared to production in 2010
From the Forecast Figures III, in 2011 maize and soybeans are expected to decline in harvested area respectively by 5.81 percent and 2.25 percent. While commodity peanuts, green beans, cassava, and sweet potatoes are expected to experience an increase in harvested area.
