Abstract

Until the realization Subrorund III (January-December) of 2012 (ROOF 2012), has been realized rice harvested area of 387.8 thousand hectares, with an estimated production of 1,789 million tons of paddy.

Based on forecast figure I in 2013 is expected to be realized harvested area of 397.6 thousand hectares, with an estimated production of 1.848 million tonnes of rice paddy, which means an increase of 3.30 percent compared to production in 2012.

Based on Forecast Figures I, 2013, corn and sweet potatoes are expected to increase in harvested area respectively by 10.86 percent and 29.56 percent. While soybeans, peanuts, green beans and cassava are expected to decline in harvested area.
