Abstract

Up to Subrorund II (January-August) in 2012, has been realized rice harvested area of 287.6 thousand hectares, with an estimated total production of 1.34 million tonnes of paddy. Rice production in the period from January to August 2012, was increased by 7.76 percent compared to production in the same period in 2011.
From figure While 2012 is expected to be realized harvested area of 387.8 thousand hectares, with an estimated production of 1,789 million tonnes of rice paddy, which means an increase of 0.89 percent compared to production in 2011.
From figure While in 2012, corn, soybeans, peanuts and sweet potatoes are expected to increase in harvested area respectively by 4.35 percent, 0.65 percent, 13.64 percent and 11.17 percent. While green beans and cassava are expected to decline in harvested area.
